Karen Hofmeister

Karen Hofmeister is a graphic designer, illustrator, entrepreneur, artist advocate and community leader who has called Erie home for more than 15 years. She is the founder and Chief Creative of Red Doodle Creative, a branding and design studio, and brings more than 18 years of experience in brand development, marketing, and visual communications. Sewing, fiber arts and block printing are a big part of Karen's creative hobbies. She believes that every community should have a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can learn, explore or teach trades and crafts in a safe and welcoming environment. Karen served as President of the Downtown Erie Business Association, where she helped develop the Downtown Erie brand. She also served on the Erie Public Arts Advisory Board and is an active member of the Erie Chamber of Commerce. As a leader of CO-Create Erie, Karen developed the organization's brand and leverages her experience in leadership, marketing, and nonprofit development to help build a vibrant makerspace that will serve the Erie community for years to come.
