Julia Thomas-Glennon

Julia is a dedicated educator, community advocate, and nonprofit leader who is deeply committed to creative technology, lifelong learning, and civic connection. As Vice President of CO-Create Erie, she is helping build an inclusive makerspace where people of all ages can discover new skills, share ideas, and experience the joy of creating alongside one another. Throughout her career, Julia has enjoyed designing meaningful community programs and led the development of an accessible library-based makerspace that encourages curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. Her leadership has included serving as Chair for both national and local nonprofit organizations. She has also been fortunate to contribute to the wider makerspace community as an Ambassador for the Library Makers organization and as a contributor to the Library Makers Toolkit II, a national resource developed in partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services. At CO-Create Erie, Julia blends her strategic background into collaborative action by bridging ideas, fostering community, and keeping a shared vision moving forward. A maker at heart, who enjoys 3D printing, laser cutting and sewing, she remains a firm believer in the magic of asking, “What if?”—preferably with a hot cup of tea within arm's reach!
